CHA Client Awarded Nearly $1M for Energy Efficiency Projects

Posted October 10, 2012

Garlock Sealing Technologies, LLC (GST), a global manufacturer of high-performance fluid sealing products, was awarded $936,000 to implement energy efficiency projects. CHA identified, quantified, and prepared the funding application for these projects.

The award will be used to offset the cost of a $2.6 million project that will increase energy efficiency throughout GST’s Palmyra, NY campus.

Projects identified by GST in its funding application include boiler and chilled water system replacements, modernization of an extruder process, and improved steam system management.

The award was funded through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA’s) Industrial and Process Efficiency program. Over the last 16 years, CHA has performed hundreds of energy assessments funded by NYSERDA. Information about NYSERDA’s programs can be found on their website at www.nyserda.org.
