CHA Wins ACEC GA Honor Award for Newnan Bypass

CHA Consulting, Inc. (CHA) is pleased to announce it has earned an Honor Award in the ACEC Georgia 2018 Engineering Excellence Awards for its work on the Southeast Newnan Bypass from Turkey Road to SR 16.

CHA completed project plans and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessment (EA)/Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) documentation and permitting for the locally sponsored extension of the Southeast Newnan Bypass.  The extension completes the north-south portion, linking the transportation network and providing improved mobility and access to retailers, jobs, and healthcare facilities.  CHA also successfully protected and preserved a small abandoned cemetery discovered during construction.

As an Honor Award recipient, CHA will be listed in the March/April 2018 issue of Engineering Georgia magazine and recognized during the 2018 Georgia Engineering Awards in February.
