Project : PSEG FERC 1000 Program Master Service Agreement

CHA has provided preliminary engineering services to PSE&G for multiple assignments under the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Order 1000 program. The work has included transmission and substation engineering, cost estimating, and permitting analysis for projects ranging from 138 kV to 345 kV. Transmission engineering has included routing assessment, preliminary plan and profile, structure development, and cost estimating. Substation engineering has included development of general arrangement plans and one line diagrams.

Some specific assignments completed include:

  • New 29 mile 230 kV transmission line utilizing steel poles and adding line positions at two existing substations
  • Reconductoring of an existing 230 kV double circuit transmission line
  • Reconfiguration of an existing 230 kV substation
  • New 5.4 mile underground 3500 kcmil HPFF 230 kV transmission line
  • New 6.5 mile 138 kV overhead transmission line utilizing a combination of wood and steel structures
  • New 9.5 mile 345 kV overhead transmission line utilizing steel poles and a new 345 kV substation
