CHA to Support $70M Vermont Gas Expansion

Posted December 18, 2012

Vermont Gas Systems has retained CHA to provide project management, engineering, surveying, right of way, environmental assessment, permitting, procurement, and construction management services to support a $70 million project that will extend natural gas service to International Paper’s mill in Ticonderoga, NY by the end of 2015.

The project, which involves the construction of about 30 miles of pipeline and support facilities, also represents a significant step in allowing Vermont Gas to eventually extend service to the Rutland, VT area. A section of the pipeline will be constructed under Lake Champlain, one of the largest freshwater lakes in the country.

CHA is also supporting Vermont Gas's expansion into Vergennes and Middlebury, VT.
