Albany Capital Center
CHA provided geotechnical and structural engineering design services for the Albany Capital Center in downtown Albany. This 82,000 sq. ft. new conference facility is a five-story structure with three levels of parking below grade and two levels of conference space above the parking structure.
On the first level, the Albany Capital Center will contain a 10,000 sq. ft. junior ballroom, a demisable 9,000 sq. ft. meeting suite, a 9,750 sq. ft. pre-function space, a 3,500 sq. ft. banquet kitchen, and administrative offices.
The second level consists of a 25,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose room with a 25-foot-high ceiling to accommodate future NCAA basketball requirements and other non-ball events, a 6,300 sq. ft. pre-function space, and support functions similar to the first level.
