Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children
CHA provided complete fire suppression systems, including variable speed fire pump, high pressure standpipe system, numerous wet, dry, and pre-action systems, for the state-of-the-art 15-floor, 760,000 square foot Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children. CHA was contracted to take over from an existing fire sprinkler contract late in the project. The project was months behind at the time, yet the team was able to take the project over, obtain ADPH approvals on outstanding submittals, repair and complete installation, and meet the project schedule without any delays to the customer. This state-of-the art-facility is the centerpiece of Children’s Hospital of Alabama and was the largest hospital construction project in the history of the state of Alabama.
