Class Location and High Consequence Area (HCA) Analysis

Orange and Rockland Utilities — New York

CHA coordinated and wrote the summary report for the Class Locations & High Consequence Area study for high-pressure gas pipelines and facilities. Aerial photos were used to determine the structures that fell within a defined buffer of all pipelines and facilities. For areas of concern, such as new construction, unidentifiable structures, densely packed areas and potential identified sites, field crews were used to verify the structure and count. The centerlines and attribute information were then uploaded into the Intrepid® software and Class Location and HCA tools were run on the dataset.
