Henrico County, Glover Park

Glover Park, formally known as Greenwood Park, is a world-class sports venue extending from the north side of Greenwood Road to the Chickahominy River within the Brookland District of Henrico County, Virginia.

CHA partnered with Henrico County, planning and designing 10 multipurpose athletic fields, a championship stadium, passive walking trails, public restroom buildings, and supporting infrastructure. The first phase created four synthetic turf multipurpose fields, sand volleyball courts, public restrooms, walking trails, supporting infrastructure, and parking. Two flexible large turf pads, composed of synthetic turf with shock-absorbing underlayment and innovative sports lighting, accommodate two full-size soccer fields and four youth fields.

Glover Park has established itself as a premier site for national sports tournaments, a driving force behind strengthening Henrico County’s economy through increased sports tourism. Henrico County families have a special place to enjoy athletic competition and recreation.
