Seneca Building Steam Line Replacement
CHA provided design services for York University after they experienced direct buried pre-insulated steam and condensate piping failures after only 15 years of service. This was a dedicated line servicing the Seneca College building. As a result, CHA designed and installed a new 8-inch steam line and 4-inch condensate line in a shallow utility tunnel system. In addition, to accomodate the Toronto Transit Commission's new subway servicing York University, CHA designed the relocation of a 12-inch steam, 6-inch condensate, and 24-inch chilled water supply and return lines in utility tunnels to accommodate the station.
